Sand Key Park

Sand Key Park

Located at 1060 Gulf Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33767, Sand Key Park is a great spot to take the whole family for a day at the beach. The park features white sand, a boardwalk, a nature trail, and a sea turtle nesting area. It also has restrooms, picnic shelters, and a playground for the kids.

The park has a relaxing atmosphere all day long and is an excellent destination for families. It is not as crowded as Clearwater Beach, and offers a quieter atmosphere. There aren't any great restaurants in the area, but if you do need some entertainment, you can drive a few minutes to Clearwater Beach.

A picnic area and grills are available, as well as sheltered gazebos. Other amenities include a playground and dog park. There are also several wetlands, including a salt marsh where you can see a variety of birds, including a roseate spoonbill and a common moorhen. You can also visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which is considered one of the best places to visit in the United States.

For those looking for a more private beach experience, there's Indian Rocks Beach, or IRB as locals call it. It's less crowded than Clearwater and has over 20 beach entries. This quieter area has a mix of vacation rentals and residential properties. Skim boarding is a popular pastime here, and you can rent a skim board from one of the many local surf shops.

Ben T. Davis Beach is a popular spot for families and tourists alike. This beach is located adjacent to the four-mile Courtney Campbell Trail. It is also the perfect spot for sunset viewing, and volleyball players are a common sight. It's also close to Downtown Tampa. There are also several restaurants, bars, and shops.

The island's white sand is ideal for picnicking. There are also nature trails and bird watching areas that allow you to observe the wildlife on the island. Ospreys and other water birds live here and nest there, so you'll be sure to see one if you're visiting the park. There are also picnic tables and covered pavilions.

The park also offers several swimming beaches, and there are many nearby restaurants and bars. While the main beach is popular, you should be aware of changing ocean conditions. If you want to enjoy the sand in a more private setting, you can visit North Beach. To get there, simply follow the main road through the park to the end.
