Lake Seminole Park

Lake Seminole Park

Located at 10015 N Pk Blvd, Seminole, FL 33777, Lake Seminole Park is a 250-acre municipal park with biking and walking trails. The full trail is two miles long, but you can also take a shorter cutoff of one mile.

The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including alligators, and offers a great recreational experience. Visitors can go fishing, boating, or plan a picnic on the park's picnic tables. It also features a boat ramp, which makes it easy for visitors to access the water.

Nearby wildlife management areas provide excellent deer and duck hunting. You can also take a walk along a nature trail that leads past gopher tortoise burrows. The park also has the largest longleaf pine forest in a state park in Georgia. The park is also home to alligators, bald eagles, and osprey.

Lake Seminole Park is an excellent place to go kayaking. There are numerous places where you can rent kayaks. Sandy Feet Kayak Rentals will even drop them off where you want to launch. Other amenities at the park include paved trails, water bikes, and pavilions. There is even a dog park.

If you're looking for a great place to take your family and friends, Lake Seminole Park has something for everyone. The park is open from 8 am to 6 pm daily, and you can visit during the day, or bring your pet for a picnic. The park also offers special event days, and annual passes are available for $35.

Nearby Sneads Park is an excellent location to go fishing. There is a boat ramp at this park, and you can fish from the bank, too. The park is surrounded by a small cove with a sand beach. It is also near a woodruff dam, which controls the waters of the Flint and Chattahoochee rivers.

The park also has a two-mile hiking trail, which includes several small ponds. Hikers can also spot alligators, snakes, frogs, and deer. The shallow brackish water makes it an ideal habitat for different types of fish. There are seventeen boat ramps available to access the lake. Other amenities include ball courts and miniature golf.

The park also has an observation deck overlooking the lake. From there, you can continue your hike by the main trail. It follows a loop around the lake and curves eastward and southward, passing many benches and grapevines. After about a tenth-mile, the trail enters the woods. The path is wide and level. The trail is shaded and has benches along the way.
