John's Pass Village & Boardwalk

John's Pass Village & Boardwalk

Johns Pass Village and Boardwalk is a converted fishing village in Florida that sits on a pass connecting the Gulf of Mexico to Boca Ciega Bay and Tampa Bay. It is located at 12945 Village Blvd, Madeira Beach, FL 33708. The area is a hub for ocean exploration and has plenty of shops and restaurants that serve fresh catches of fish. The boardwalk and marina also offer parasailing and dolphin-sighting tours.

The Village and Boardwalk can be reached in about 15 minutes by car or by ferry. The Village is home to over 100 restaurants and retail stores. Visitors can enjoy water activities like paddle boarding, parasailing, and fishing. However, it is recommended that you make reservations at least 24 hours ahead of time because the area can get quite crowded, particularly during the summer.

The Boardwalk and Village are the most popular attractions in Johns Pass, FL. With over 50 unique shops and restaurants, the Boardwalk is a popular destination for shoppers and tourists. While there, tourists can enjoy water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing, and dolphin-watching.

For dining, visitors can stop by the Boardwalk Grill for a delicious meal and stunning beach views. The Boardwalk Grill is a local secret, yet easily accessible. The Village also boasts a variety of fine craft stores and restaurants. It is said to be the second largest seafood festival on the East Coast.

Treasure Island Cottages offers affordable beachfront accommodations just a half mile from the Village. The two-bedroom units are stocked with luxurious amenities and provide premium beach access. In addition, the Treasure Island Cottages provide transportation to nearby facilities and provide guests with a sense of privacy. While these properties may not be the most luxurious options, they are among the best options for beachfront lodging.

The community's historic significance dates back to the early 19th century. The area was discovered on September 27, 1848. The next 100 years were characterized by lawlessness. Poachers drove the native wildlife to extinction along the coast. In 1980, William Hubbard convinced the city to build a boardwalk and add shops with old world charm. The result was the creation of the Johns Pass Village and Boardwalk Community.

Johns Pass is known for its water activities, such as fishing. Those interested can spend a day in the waters of the Boca Ciega Bay or take a guided dolphin tour. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife including bottlenose dolphins. Guests can get up close to these animals during these tours.

If you're looking for something a little more exotic, try the Animal Village, located on the southern section of the Village. It is home to over 200 animals. Several species of alligators, lizards, rabbits, snakes, and skunks are featured here. The Village is a learning center as well as an animal habitat.
