Florida's Clearwater Schools: From K-12 to College

‍Imagine your child’s future, and you will imagine a future for Clearwater schools. With a focus on early childhood education, the future of Clearwater schools will prepare our children for adulthood. From K-12 to college, the future that our schools envision for our children is one of success, and that is why Clearwater residents are eager for the opening of Clearwater High School.

Clearwater High School

With the opening of Clearwater Middle School in 2008, the community eagerly awaits the opening of Clearwater High School in August 2019.  Clearwater High School will become an “all-high school”, meaning that it will offer students choice in which academic program they would like to be a part of. This is in partnership with the Bay District School Board and Central Region Secondary School Partnership, who have created a clear path to the career of the future.

Clearwater Middle School

The opening of Clearwater Middle School in 2008 was a great success, and with the addition of Clearwater High School, the Clearwater middle school community will see an increase of 600 students.  Clearwater Middle School has dedicated focus on the physical and mental health of students by offering the Green St. Clinic, a clinic providing students with mental health support, and the Clearwater Athletic Centre, a gymnasium offering physical health support.

Clearwater Elementary

Along with Clearwater Middle School, Clearwater Elementary has seen great success with the addition of Clearwater High School. With Clearwater Elementary now home to both Clearwater Middle School and Clearwater High School, Clearwater Elementary is also home to the new Clearwater Charter School.

Clearwater Charter School

Clearwater Charter School, located on Black St. in Clearwater, will open its doors to students in August 2019. Students will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of STEM-based programs, along with a Social Emotional Learning program that focuses on well-being.

College Education in Clearham

With the opening of Clearwater High School, Clearham will have a high school that is focused on career education. This is a great opportunity to engage Clearham high school students with real-life work experience. This can be done through internships at local businesses, work with local non-profits, or the more extensive work-study program that many US high schools offer their students.

College Education in Clearwater

In addition to the growing population of Clearwater that is turning their eyes to higher education, the University of South Florida College of Marine Studies is also growing. With a population of more than 700 students, Clearwater Marine’s College of Marine Studies will see a future with more than 1,000 students.

Summing Up

The future of Clearwater schools will have the Clearwater High School focused on the future with career education, Clearwater Middle School with the new Green St. Clinic, Clearwater Elementary full of new students, and Clearwater Marine’s College of Marine Studies with 1,000 students. All of these schools are a vision of success in the future of Clearwater.
